DHT Defense - Beard Oil

$24.99 CAD

The beard oil from the DHT Defense line.

Most beard oils are generic blends with heavy fragrance that sits on the skin. Ours is lightweight, fast-absorbing and made with sensitive skin in mind: grapeseed, pumpkin seed and saw palmetto, the same botanical base as our Hair Oil, with no added scent.

A few drops a day soften coarse facial hair, tame flyaways and ease the dryness and itch that build up under a beard.

Refined masculinity

Don't settle for an itchy, dry beard.

Most beards are drier than they look. The skin underneath gets itchy, the hair turns coarse, and flyaways take over. It doesn't have to be that way.

Generic beard oils tend to lean on heavy scents and a surface-level shine. We started from the skin instead: fewer ingredients, each with a reason to be there, in a blend light enough for every day.

A simple, limited-ingredient blend, made for daily use.

A simple process

How it works

01

Softens coarse facial hair

Light, fast-absorbing oils soften the beard from root to tip, without a greasy finish.

02

Cares for the skin beneath

Massaged in, the blend eases the dryness and itch that build up under a beard. No added scent, made with sensitive skin in mind.

03

Where DHT fits

On your face, DHT is what builds a full beard. On the scalp, it thins the hairline. That's why the DHT-blocking work happens in our Hair Oil, and this blend focuses on your beard and skin. Thinning at the temples or crown? Pair it with the Hair Oil.

The daily routine

A few drops. A more intentional finish.

01

Start with a few drops

Begin with the smallest amount that suits your beard length. Add more only if needed.

02

Warm between your palms

Take a moment to warm the oil before applying, for an even, controlled finish.

03

Work through beard and skin

Massage through your beard and into the skin beneath, then style as usual.

Questions

Before you start.

What does the beard oil do?
It conditions your beard and the skin beneath it: softer facial hair, fewer flyaways, and less of the dryness and itch that build up under a beard.
How much should I use?
Start with a few drops and add more only if needed. Beard length, texture and dryness all change the amount that works best for you.
Does it block DHT in my beard?
No, and that's on purpose. On the face, DHT is the hormone that builds a full beard, so blocking it there isn't the goal. The DHT-blocking work happens on the scalp, with our Hair Oil. Our DHT guide explains why.
Can I use it on my hair?
Yes, it's gentle enough. For thinning at the temples or crown, the Hair Oil adds rosemary and bhringraj for the scalp, so it's the better fit.
